Arnold (Arnie) M. Wegner

(1912-1999)

After owning & operating The Nautical Inn in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin for 12 years, where he bought and sold antiques, Arnie Wegner lived on Door County's quiet side of the peninsula for almost 25 years. He worked on his seafaring treasures steps away from the old feed mill, which is now the new home of Boat House Antiques & Gifts, LLC. It is with great reverence and pride that the proprietors, Geri Wegner, Arnie's niece, and Sebastian Riccobono continue the antique and nautical tradition that Arnie enjoyed throughout his lifetime.

As a testimonial to Arnie Wegner's dedication to his model building he has become the standard by which others are gauged. Arnie's work can be found in many prominent offices, boardrooms and homes throughout the United States. He has been immortalized in a permanent display of "Best of the Best" in the Door County Maritime Museum
